Fraudulent printing or reproduction

Whoever publishes an unpublished work, or reproduces work in the stage of publication, or already published, belonging to another, without his authorization or consent, shall forfeit, in favour of the author or owner of the work, all the copies of the fraudulent reproduction, which may be seized, and he shall pay in addition the value of the entire edition minus the said copies, for the price by which the legal copies are sold or at which they are valued. § Sole paragraph - If the number of copies printed fraudulently and distributed, is not known, the counterfeiter shall pay the value of one thousand copies, beside the ones seized.
