Locus standi of heirs in the suits for assertion of the status

The heirs of the children may continue the suits for vindication of status which are pending; but they may institute fresh suits only if the child has died or become of unsound mind before the expiry of four years from its emancipation or majority, and having died in such state. § Sole paragraph – Such suit becomes barred by limitation after the expiry of four years from the day of death of the child.
