Responsibility of heir apparent

If the Will is declared null after the payment of the legacy, such payment having been made in good faith the appointed heir stands discharged of his responsibility towards the true heir, on delivering the remaining inheritance, save the right of the latter against the legatee. § Sole paragraph – The above provision is applicable to legacies with encumbrances.
