Provisional curatorship and conservatory measures of the properties of the absentee

Where any person disappears from the place of his domicile or residence, his whereabouts being unknown, and without having appointed any attorney, or anyone who may legally administer his assets and it becomes necessary to take measures in this regard, the competent court shall appoint a curator for him.

§ 1 - The court of the domicile of the absentee shall have jurisdiction for such purpose.

§ 2 - The provisions of the preceding paragraph will not prevent the taking of preventive measures which may be indispensable at any other place, where the absentee has assets.
