Subsistence of widowed spouse

Once the marriage is dissolved whichever may be the regime under which it has been contracted, the spouse, who due to the death of the other is found without means of subsistence, shall be entitled to be maintained from the income of the assets left by the deceased, whatever may be their nature. § Sole paragraph - This provision does not include the assets of which the deceased spouse was merely an usufructuary.
