Prescription against minors

Prescription runs against minors only on the following terms: § 1 - Positive prescription does not get complete before the lapse of one year after the impediment of incapacity by minority ceases. § 2 - Negative prescription does not get complete except in the cases of Article 538, 539, 540, 541 & 543 before the passing of one year after the impediment of incapacity by minority ceases. § 3 - What is provided in the preceding paragraphs is applicable to the insane, with a difference that, the impediment is deemed as ended, for the purpose of prescription, upon the lapse of three years, after its ordinary period, if the said impediment has not ceased earlier.
