Duration and confirmation of legal guardianship

Legal guardians shall carry out their functions for the duration of minority. § 1 – If there are several relatives, in the same degree of relation and equally capable, each will serve as a guardian for a period of three years. § 2 – Legal guardianship depends upon confirmation by the family council.
