Termination or reduction of maintenance due to reprehensible conduct

The obligation to pay maintenance also ceases when the need for it results from reprehensible conduct of the beneficiary and the latter by correcting himself may render it unnecessary. However, if this correction of conduct can no longer dispense him/her from need of maintenance, the reprehensible conduct shall be taken into consideration only for the purpose of reducing the entitlement to maintenance, or for reducing maintenance already awarded.
