Eviction of gifted thing

The donor shall not be answerable for the eviction of the gifted thing if he does not so bind himself expressly, except for the provisions of articles 1142 & 1143. § Sole paragraph - The donee shall however stand subrogated in all the rights which may be available to the donor in case there is an eviction.
