Statutory text
If the injured animal takes shelter in any property which is enclosed by trenches, or by compound wall or fencing, the hunter is not entitled to pursue the animal within the said property without the permission of the owner thereof. However, if the animal dies therein, the hunter may demand, that the owner or his representative, if present, hand over the animal to him, or may permit him to search for the animal, but without any escort.
