Legacy of maintenance

The legacy of maintenance includes food, clothing and lodging, and, when the legatee is a minor, education. § 1 - This obligation of maintenance for education lasts until the person maintained has acquired the expertise or due qualification in the job or profession that he has chosen. When a job or profession has not been chosen, the obligation shall cease. § 2 - The provision of article 181 is applicable to the said obligation. § 3 - The principle of the preceding paragraphs is applicable to the legacy left solely for expenses of education.
