Statutory text
The testator may substitute one or more persons in place of the instituted heir or appointed heirs or of the legatees, in case the heirs or the legatees cannot or do not want to accept the inheritance or legacy; this is called common or direct substitution. § Sole paragraph – Such substitution ceases to operate as soon as the heir accepts the inheritance.
