Duties of lender

Article 1521 – Duties of lender The lender is bound to: 1. Compensate the borrower for all expenses of extraordinary and inevitable nature, incurred on the thing lent, without, however, the borrower enjoying the right of retention; 2. To bear the loss which the borrower sustained on account of hidden defects of the thing lent, if the lender, knowing the defects, did not bring them to the notice of the borrower.
