Ownership, possession and administration of the assets of the matrimonial estate

The ownership and possession of the common assets vest in both the spouses during the subsistence of the marriage; however, the administration of the assets of the couple, not excluding the wife’s own assets, shall lie with the husband. § Sole paragraph - The wife may manage only with the consent of the husband or during his impediment or absence.
