Presumption of delivery of dowry

In case the marriage has lasted for ten years from the time limit fixed for payment of the endowment, the wife or her heirs may demand its refund from the husband in the event of dissolution of the marriage or separation of assets without being liable to prove that the endowment was really paid except where the husband proves that he took steps to receive it, but in vain.
