Forced sharing of compound wall Every owner of property adjoining a wall or compound wall belonging to another may acquire common rights therein, in full or in part by paying half of its value and half of the value of the land over which the said wall or compound wall is constructed. § Sole paragraph – But if on this wall or compound wall there are balconies, windows or other openings to which the owner is entitled, the said communion shall take place only if the said owner consents.
