Vidhi Codex is a free information and study service. By using the library or its agent tools, you agree to these terms.
Information only
Statutes, summaries, quizzes, diagrams, downloads and agent responses are general information for study and research. They are not legal advice, a professional opinion, an official publication, or a substitute for a qualified lawyer. No lawyer–client relationship is created.
Verify before relying
Data may be incomplete, incorrectly extracted, out of date, or affected by later amendments, repeal, commencement notifications, rules or judicial decisions. A processing status, successful download or file validation does not certify legal accuracy or currency. Check the latest authoritative government publication and obtain professional advice before acting, filing, calculating a deadline or making a legal decision.
Service and accuracy
The service and data are provided as available and as is, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, continuous availability or absence of errors, to the extent permitted by law. Scheduled processing is a best-effort update process, not a promise that every amendment has been incorporated. Features and records may change or be withdrawn.
Responsibility and liability
You are responsible for independently verifying information and for decisions made using it. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator excludes liability for losses arising from inaccurate, incomplete, stale or unavailable information, interrupted access, or reliance on automated outputs, including indirect or consequential loss. These terms do not exclude rights, duties or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
Responsible access
Do not disrupt the service, circumvent safeguards, misrepresent the library as an official authority, or submit confidential client information or personal identifiers to search or agent tools. Agents must preserve data-status warnings and must not present generated interpretations as verified law.
Content and external services
Records can include government material and independently published educational material. Rights and permissions differ by item; availability here is not a blanket licence to redistribute third-party commentary, artwork or documents. External government sites, hosting providers and integrations have their own terms. We do not control their availability or accuracy.
Changes and corrections
The effective date below identifies this version. Continued use after published changes is subject to the updated terms. Suspected errors should be reported through the operator’s published support channel with the act, language and section concerned. Reports do not guarantee a correction timeframe.
