Acceptance of inheritance left to deaf and dumb

The deaf and dumb, who are not under guardianship and who know to write, may accept or renounce the inheritance, either by themselves or by their competent attorney; but where they do not know to write, the inheritance shall be accepted under benefit of inventory by a curator, who shall be appointed through family council.
