Grading of past mortgages

Mortgages referred to in article 1000, may be admitted to the contest independent of registration, within the period of one year, from the date of the promulgation of this Code and if they are registered within the same period, they have preference in the competition above all the mortgages created after that date, even though they might have been registered before the former. § Sole paragraph: The ranking of the mortgages, referred in article 1000, inter se, shall be regulated by the legislation to which they were subject before the promulgation of this Code.
