Acquisition of the thing under usufruct for public purpose

If the thing under usufruct is acquired for public purpose, in full or in part, the compensation shall in the absence of agreement among interested parties be invested in the purchase of government securities for public debt or given on interest with mortgage as the owner may deem fit, in the latter case however the usufructuary being heard over the suitability of the said mortgage and the interest shall belong to the usufructuary while the usufruct last.
