Legacy of the thing belonging to another

The legacy of a thing belonging to another is null but, if it appears from the Will that the testator was ignorant that the bequeathed thing did not belong to him, the heir shall acquire the same to carry out the bequest and if this is not possible, he shall pay to the legatee its value.
