Adoption of financial statement and balance sheet.

The financial statement prepared under section 56 and the balance sheet of assets and liabilities prepared under section 57 shall be placed by the Chief Municipal Officer before the Chief Councillor, who shall, after examination of the said financial statement and the balance sheet, adopt them, and shall remit them to the Auditor as may be appointed by the State Government in this behalf.
