Commencement and completion of building activities within specified time.

Any building activity shall commence within such period following the date of grant of a building permit,' and shall be completed within such period, as may be determined by the Architect on Record or the Chief Municipal Officer, as the case may be: Provided that where any building activity cannot be commenced, or completed within the period as aforesaid, the Chief Municipal Officer may, after holding such enquiry as he may deem necessary, and by an order, in writing, extend such period in either case, subject to such conditions as may be specified in the order.
