Qualification of voters- “14.
- (1) Any ordinary resident of a municipality, being a citizen of India and having attained the age of eighteen on the first January of the year for which the municipal electoral roll is being prepared shall be eligible for registration as a voter in such electoral roll: Provided that no person shall be registered as a voter in more than one ward.
- (2) A person shall be disqualified for voting at a municipal election if he is or becomes subject to any disqualification prescribed under the Representation of the People Act, 1951 for voting in an election to the State Assembly”. Note:Section 14
