Power to divide municipality into wards and to fix the number of Commissioners of each ward.–The State Government may, in case of new municipalities or its own motion, and in case of municipalities already in existence at the time the notification is made after consideration of the views of the Board at a meeting, by notification divide a Municipality into wards for the purpose of the election Commissioners and determine the number of Commissioners to be elected from each such ward.
