By-laws of society
The Chhattisgarh Societies Registraion Act, 1973The by-laws of a society may provide for the following, that is to say:- (one) conditions of admission of members; (two) liability of members to fines and forfeiture under certain circumstances; (three) consequences of non-payment of any subscription or fine, resignation and expulsion of members; (four) appointment, removal and duties of trustees; (five) manner of appointing and removing the governing body and the duties of such body; (six) the time and place of annual and other meetings of the society; (seven) the manner in which notice of such meetings may be given; (eight) quorum necessary for the transaction of business at meetings of the society; (nine) manner of making, altering and rescinding by-laws; (ten) investment of funds, keeping of accounts and annual or periodical audit of accounts; (eleven) manner of dissolution of the society; (twelve) determination, after dissolution, that the property shall be utilised by the Government in accordance with section 36; (thirteen) matters to be provided for by the by-laws and the manner in which they shall be made; and (fourteen) such other matters as may be considered expedient having regard to the nature and objects of the society.
