Registrar of Societies and other officers

(1) The State Government may, by notification, appoint any person who shall be called the Registrar of Societies, who shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as are conferred by or under the provisions of this Act, and subject to such general or special orders as may be made by the State Government, shall superintend the administration and shall implement the provisions of this Act in the whole State. (2) The State Government may, by the same notification, also appoint persons for such areas as may be specified in the notification, who shall be called Additional Registrar of Societies, Joint Registrar of Societies, Deputy Registrar of Societies and Assistant Registrar of Societies, and may empower them to exercise such powers and perform such duties under all or any of the provisions of this Act as may be specified in the notification.
