Repeal. —
- (1) On the commencement of this Code, the laws specified in the Schedule appended to this Code shall be repealed in their application to the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu: Provided that such repeal shall not affect—
- (a) the previous operation of any law so repealed or anything duly done or suffered thereunder;
- (b) any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under any law so repealed;
- (c) any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed against any law so repealed;
- (d) any investigation, legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such right, privilege, obligation, liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment as aforesaid, and any such investigation, legal proceeding or remedy may be instituted, continued or enforced, and any such penalty, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed as if this Code had not been passed.
- (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the laws as aforesaid, any appointment, notification, order, rule, form, notice, register, or document made, issued, framed or executed or deemed to have been made, issued, framed or executed under any such repealed law and in force at the commencement of this Code shall continue in force in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Code, unless and until it is superseded by any appointment, notification, order, rule, form, notice, register or document made, issued, framed or executed under this Code.
