Recovery of moneys from surety

Recovery of moneys from surety.— Every person who may have become a surety for the payment of any sum payable under the provisions of this Code, or any other law for the time being in force, shall, on failure to pay the amount, be liable to be proceeded against by the Collector as if he were a defaulter under this Chapter.
