Powers to enter upon and survey land.— All revenue officers and persons acting under their orders may enter upon and survey land and do all acts which are required for the proper performance of any of their official duties or for the purposes of any inquiry or survey under this Code, and for this purpose they may—
- (a) enter, examine and survey any land;
- (b) mark the boundaries of such land and perform any other act which they consider necessary for the purpose aforesaid;
- (c) cut down and clear away any part of any standing crop, fence or jungle, where removal thereof is necessary for the performance of their duties;
- (d) exercise all powers incidental to the performance of such duties: Provided that no person shall enter into any building or upon any enclosed court or garden attached to a dwelling house (unless with the consent of the occupier thereof) without previously giving such occupier at least twenty-four hours' notice in writing of his intention to do so.
