Statutory text
Power of appellate authority.—
- (1) The appellate authority may after allowing the appellant a reasonable opportunity of being heard, do all or any of the following:—
- (a) admit, reject or return the appeal;
- (b) confirm, modify or reverse the order appealed against;
- (c) quash the order appealed against and direct fresh inquiry or decision;
- (d) make such further investigation as it thinks fit and pass such order as it deems just and proper.
- (2) The appellate authority may, pending the disposal of the appeal, make an interlocutory order as it may deem just and proper.
