Recovery of arrears

Recovery of arrears.— An arrear of land revenue may be recovered by any one or more of the following processes, namely:—

1. (a) by serving a written notice of demand on the defaulter under section 124.
2. (b) by distraint and sale of the defaulter's movable property under section 125;
3. (c) by forfeiture of the holding in respect of which the arrear is due under section 127;
4. (d) by the attachment and sale of the defaulter's immovable property, under section 128;
5. (e) by arrest and imprisonment of the defaulter under section 129.
