Definitions

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,—

1. (1) "Board" means the Madhya Pradesh Gramodyog Board established under section 4;
2. (2) "Commission" means the Khadi and Village Industries Commission constituted under the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Act, 1956 (No. 61 of 1956);
3. (3) "Khadi" means any cloth woven on handlooms in India from cotton, silk or woollen yarn hand-spun in India or from a mixture of any two or more of such yarns and certified as such by the Commission or any such body as the Central or State Government may, for the purpose, establish in its place;
4. (4) "Member" includes the Chairman;
5. (5) "Regulations" means regulations made by the Board under this Act;
6. (6) "Village Industries" means any industry specified in the Schedule or any industry declared as such under this Act.
