Authorized officer to hear election petitions

Election petitions under this Act shall be heard by the following: (i) in the case of Gram Panchayat and Panchayat Samiti, by the Sub-Divisional Officer; and (ii) in the case of members of Zila Parishad, by the Deputy Commissioner. (iii) in the case of Adhyaksh and Up-Adhyaksh of Zila Parishad, by the Commissioner.
