Power to prohibit or restrict the use of path ways, roads etc.

(1) The State Government may, for the maintenance of public order or in the interest of the general public, by order - (a) regulate the use of any road, path way or water course; (b) regulate the movement of any person, or animal or vehicle over any land; for such period not exceeding three months as may be specified in the order. (2) If any person contravenes any order made under sub-section (1), he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
