Control of uniforms
The Chhattisgarh Rajya Suraksha & Lok Vyavashtha Act, 1980(1) If the State Government is satisfied that the public wearing or displaying of any dress or article of apparel or emblem which resembles any uniform or part of a uniform or emblem required to be worn or displayed by a member of the armed forces of the Union or of any police force or of any force constituted under any law for the time being in force is likely to adversely affect the public peace, maintenance of order or maintenance of safety or tranquillity, the State Government may, by general or special order, prohibit or restrict any such dress or article of apparel or emblem. (2) For the purposes of this section, a dress, article of apparel or emblem shall be deemed to be publicly worn or displayed if it is so worn or displayed as to be visible to any person in a place to which the public has access. (3) If any person contravenes any order made under this section, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
