Control of camps, drills, parades etc.

(1) If the State Government is satisfied that it is necessary to do so in the interest of public safety or maintenance of public order, it may, by general or special order, prohibit or restrict the holding of any such military type camps or the taking of any such exercise, movement, evolution or drill in any area as may be specified in the order. (2) With a view to ensuring that no unauthorised exercise, movement, evolution or drill of military type is held in any place, the State Government may, by general or special order, prohibit or restrict the holding of any camp or the taking of any parade, gathering, meeting, taking out of procession or participation therein by such class of persons or organisations as may be specified in the order, or may impose conditions thereon. (3) Any contravention of any order made under this section shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
