Power of State Government
The Chhattisgarh Rajya Suraksha & Lok Vyavashtha Act, 1980(1) The State Government or any officer specifically empowered in this behalf by the State Government may exercise the powers exercisable by the District Magistrate under section 11, 12 or 13 in the district, in the same circumstances and in the same manner as with the modification that it shall be lawful for the State Government or the officer specifically empowered to direct the members of such group or gang or persons or non-residents or convicted persons to remove themselves from any district or districts or part thereof, whether or not they are adjoining to it, and not to enter or return to any district or districts or part thereof, whether or not they are adjoining to it. (2) The provisions of section 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19 and the provisions of section 16 shall, in the case where the order has been passed under sub-section (1) by an officer specifically empowered by the State Government, apply with necessary changes concerning the exercise of any powers under this section as if they apply to the exercise of any powers under section 11, 12 or 13. (3) Where the order has been passed under sub-section (1) by the State Government, the State Government may, either suo motu or on an application by the aggrieved person, review any order passed by itself and may pass such order in relation to it as it deems fit: Provided that no order shall be modified or reversed unless the concerned person has been given notice to appear and be heard in support of the order.
