No President, Vice President, Chairman, Vice Chairman or Member to receive remuneration

No President, Vice President, Chairman, Vice Chairman or Member to receive remuneration.—

1. (1) No President, Vice-President or Member of a Village Panchayat and no Chairman, Vice-Chairman or Member of a Panchayat Union Council or a District Panchayat shall receive, or be paid, from the funds of the Panchayat, any salary or other remuneration for services rendered by him whether in his official capacity or in any other capacity.
2. (2) Nothing contained in sub-section
3. (1) shall prevent the President, Vice-President, Chairman or Vice-Chairman from receiving any honorarium or sitting fee as may be prescribed.
