Delimitation of Territorial Wards

Delimitation of territorial wards.- The Government shall, by notification,-

1. (a) divide the area, within the jurisdiction of every District Panchayat, for the purpose of election to such District Panchayat into as many single member territorial wards as the number of members required to be elected under Section 26;
2. (b) determine the extent of each territorial ward which shall be a Panchayat Village or Panchayat Union or part of a Panchayat Village or Panchayat Union; and
3. (c) determine the territorial ward or wards in which seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes [***] and women.
