Numbering or naming of building, etc.—

1. (1) The Executive Authority may cause a number to be affixed to the side or outer door of any building or to a place enclosed by a wall or fence and may, from time to time, cause it to be renewed.
2. (2) The Executive Authority may also cause to be put up or painted on a conspicuous part of any building or place, the name of any street or the name of any locality.
3. (3) Any person who causes the destruction, defacement or alteration of any such number, name or description shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five rupees.
4. (4) Every owner or occupier of a building shall, on being required by the Executive Authority, afford all reasonable facilities for the affixing of any number or the painting of any name under this section.
