Compulsory vaccination

Compulsory vaccination. -

1. (1) The Village Panchayat may by notification direct that all children residing in the Panchayat Village who have not attained the age of five years or such other age as may be prescribed, shall be vaccinated; and the father of every such child or if the father is dead or absent, the mother, or if both the parents are dead or absent, the person having the care of the child, shall be bound to cause the child to be vaccinated by a person licensed by the Government or the Village Panchayat.
2. (2) Whoever contravenes any direction under sub-section
3. (1) shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five rupees for each offence.
