Establishment of the University

(1) There shall be established a University by the name of "Uttarakhand Residential University" by the State Government, whose headquarters shall be at Almora: Provided that the University may establish its additional campuses at such other places as it deems necessary with the prior approval of the State Government. (2) The University shall be a body corporate by the name specified in sub-section (1) and shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name.
