Chancellor

(1) The Governor shall be the Chancellor of the University. (2) The Chancellor shall, if present, preside at the convocation of the University for the purpose of bestowing degrees and diplomas. (3) The Chancellor may demand such information concerning the affairs of the University and issue such directions thereon as he deems appropriate for the interest of the University, and the authorities and officers of the University shall comply with such directions. (4) Every proposal for bestowing an honorary degree or distinction shall be subject to the approval of the Chancellor.
