Changes in State Medical Register by Council

(1) The Council may, after giving the concerned person a reasonable opportunity of being heard and after inquiring into his objections, if any, direct that any such entry in the State Medical Register, which in the opinion of the Council has been made fraudulently or by mistake, be removed or amended. (2) The Council may direct the removal of the name of any registered practitioner from the State Medical Register for ever or for any specified period for the same reasons on the basis of which prohibition can be made by it under Section 15. (3) The Council may direct that any name removed under sub-section (2) be restored, subject to such conditions, if any, as the Council deems fit to impose.
