Power to make building rules.

(1) The State Government may make rules to provide for— (a) the regulation or restriction of the use of sites for building ; and (b) the regulation on restriction of building. (2) The State Government may by notification exempt a Municipal area or a group of Municipal areas from the operation of all or and of the provisions of this chapter or of the rules make under section. (3) While such exemption, as aforesaid, remains in force in any Municipal area or group of Municipal areas, the State Government may make rules consistent with the provisions of this chapter for application to such municipal area.
