Prohibition of damage Municipal property.

(1) Whoever without the permission of the Municipality displace, dig up or make any alteration in, or otherwise damage, the pavement, gutter, tilage or other materials of any public street, or any street furniture like posts, fences and walls, including lamp-posts, lamps brakets, water posts, hydrants and accessories thereto, or any other municipal property, shall be convicted and sentenced to imprisonment which may extend to six months or fine which may extend to two thousand rupees or both.
