Functions and duties of the Proctor

The Proctor shall perform the following functions and duties, namely:- (i) to take care of discipline among the students; (ii) to create among the students a sense of pride and ‘we feeling’ for the University and inspire them to act as its goodwill messengers; (iii) to encourage students to behave or conduct themselves in a manner so as to make the University a centre of global excellence; (iv) to make active efforts to bridge the gap, if any, among the common students and their forums in the levels of understanding regarding the various policies and practices of the University; (v) to appoint a Proctor Committee on the directions of the President; (vi) to act as Member-Secretary of any Disciplinary Committee constituted by the President for taking action against any student; and (vii) to maintain proper record of disciplinary actions taken against any student and matters related therewith.
