Functions and duties of the Provost

The Provost shall perform the following functions and duties namely: - (i) to keep constant close contact with various unions of the teachers and employees and to keep informed the President regarding their activities; (ii) to promote fraternity and cordial relations among the teachers, employees and the management; (iii) to admonish University teachers and employees to act as good-will messengers of the University outside the campus and build up an ideal image of the University in the society; (iv) to encourage teachers and employees to act or conduct themselves in a manner so as to make the University a centre of excellence; (v) to make active efforts to bridge the gap, if any, in the levels of understanding among teachers and employees; and (vi) to develop among teachers and employees a culture of respect for the preservation of the University property. (vii) to perform the duties as assigned by the President from time to time.
