Appointment of the Provost

(1) The Provost shall be appointed by the President from amongst the senior teachers of the University with the prior approval of the Chairperson for a term of three years and shall be eligible for reappointment. (2) The Provost may be removed from his office by the President on the ground of misconduct, inefficiency, financial irregularity or any other reason as may be considered not in the interest of the University.
